Mario O'ReillyMaria maintains an active interest and involvement in cultural activities and politics, while spending as much time as possible with her family and friends.

Her education and experience includes: 1976 Open University - Welfare Rights; 1978-80 Liverpool Polytechnic/John Moore University - Certificate of Qualification in Social Work; 1986-87 Liverpool University - Masters Degree Racial Minorities in Britain; 1997-98 Centre for Counselling Training; 2000-01 Information Technology/computing; 2001 Graduate of Merseyside Common Purpose.

From 1979 to 1989 she worked for the Commission for Racial Equality, and became a Senior Community Relations Officer.

From 1989 to 2002 she was a Coordinator in L8 Law Centre, engaged in the provision of legal and quasi-legal services across a range of legal legislation and services.
