Married in Black is an Oral History project that charts the stories of local women. Using verbatim accounts, the project explores the largely ignored subject of mixed racial marriages in Liverpool through the personal histories of local women.
Married In Black is a celebration of the strength of white women who found love and friendship in a community that accepted and respected them for who they were. In a time of heightened racism and prejudice in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
