Nalukatak poster image

Nalukatak is a new R+D drawing on the ancient traditions of the trampoline and the Nalukatak, the Inuit festival of the melting of the ice, where people were "tossed up" in celebration. It explores the tension of living on ice, the long wait for the sea to bring fish, using masks to reveal the inner self, and the different emotions that "tossing up" a person can invoke.

Max Calaf Sevé is a contemporary circus artist who works on trampoline, combining object manipulation and physical theatre to create intimate worlds.
